ONAMI Web Community
The Oregon Nanoscience and Microtechnology Institute (ONAMI) is a cooperative venture among government, R&D institutions and industry in Oregon and the Northwest to cultivate research and commercialization of nanotechnology in microsystems.
- Develop a new ONAMI website that differentiates it from a host of institutions throughout the U.S. aiming to attract grants, research dollars and private enterprise to their area for nanotechnology initiatives.
- Design a website experience that best suits the target audience.
- Reflect ONAMI’s branding and messaging strategy as developed in partnership with YRG.
- Designed a site that demonstrates the ONAMI business model better than other nanotech consortiums.
- Site features that foster an active community where academia and industry meet to pioneer innovation.
- Dynamic features allow ONAMI members to find and schedule facilities and equipment, search for grants, or find a researcher and ask them questions.
- Launched a site that sells the Institute’s value proposition –www.onami.us.
- Four months after launch the site received 23,059 page views, 6,567 visitors, 68.22% from new visitors.
- ONAMI worked with YRG to develop the next phase of features.
"YRG did a terrific Phase 1 competitive analysis, tactical recommendations, site feature roadmap and search engine marketing plan. Their planning process and project management made the Phase 2 build-out easy for us with no surprises or delays. There's no comparison between the site we have now and what we had before."
- President and Executive Director, ONAMI
